The Simulation EHR & LIS
Built for Teaching
Not for Hospitals

Give health sciences students real clinical reasoning practice — safely, step by step.

On day one, you wouldn’t teach surgery in a real operating room.

Healthcare students shouldn’t begin on enterprise hospital software either. EdEHR gives educators an academic-grade environment to coach clinical reasoning into every charting step, safely repeated until it’s second nature.

What is EdEHR?

EdEHR is a simulation platform for healthcare education that replicates real clinical and laboratory workflows—without the complexity of enterprise hospital systems. Built with Canadian educators, it lets faculty teach clinical judgment and digital competency in a safe, realistic environment.

Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Realistic charting, barcode medication administration, and team-based documentation that mirror real clinical practice.

Laboratory Information System (LIS)

A full simulation LIS with workflows across accessioning, hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, microbiology, and transfusion science.

How To

From Paper Charts to 250 Students in One Term

In fall 2025, the laboratory technicians of Université Laurentienne's nursing program showed what EdEHR looks like in capable hands. While relocating their simulation labs and teaching full-time, they converted paper charting and lesson plans into EdEHR cases and refined the platform's French translations. In under two months they built 50+ case studies—and by late September, 250+ students were practicing live medication administration.

The same can work across all health care programs.

Simple, institutional pricing

One predictable subscription, sized to your program.

How it works

  • One institutional subscription. Students simply sign in; there’s nothing for them to buy.
  • Billed on monthly active students — those who actually use the application in that month, not everyone enrolled.
  • Per-student cost decreases as your program grows.
  • For most programs, it costs less per student each year than a single course textbook.

Faculty always free · Canada-based hosting · Save with annual prepayment.

Why it's easier for your program

  • One contract and one invoice for the institution.
  • Nothing for students to buy or renew each term, and no risk of a student being locked out mid-course.
  • We hold as little student data as possible and never collect financial information.
  • Some programs fund this through existing course or lab fees.
  • Most programs choose a multi-year agreement with annual increases typically capped at 5%.

Your program, your quote

Every healthcare education program is different, so we'd rather give you a real number than make you decode a generic price grid. Tell us your program and typical active enrolment, and we'll send a clear no-obligation written quote, or we can talk it through in person.
